Internet na Wsi


Program e-VITA prowadzony był w latach 2004 – 2011. Miał na celu wsparcie wykorzystania technologii informacyjnych w rozwoju wsi i małych miast. Partnerami w programie byli Polsko-Amerykańska Fundacja Wolności, Fundacja Wspomagania Wsi i Cisco Systems Poland (2004-2006). Realizatorką była Fundacja Wspomagania Wsi.

IT infrastructure


In 6 communities which took part in the program model projects of the latest IT infrastructure were implemented:


Pilot implementations of chosen elements were performed in five communities: Białograd (zachodniopomorskie voivodship), Cekcyn (kujawsko-pomorskie voivodship), Mały Płock (podlaskie voivodship), Recz (zachodniopomorskie voivodship) and Zelów (łódzkie voivodship).

In one community, Stoszowice (dolnośląskie voivodship), multifunctional solution, enabling usage of different IT tools by different groups of program users was established. The solution engages community council and all community institutions. The inhabitants of 7 villages received the possibility to access the Internet via radio waves.

As a result of program implementation in all communities:


  • 41 local government institutions in 6 communities, including 11 schools, 5 day care centers, 6 libraries, 6 community councils, 3 community centers, 2 kindergartens, 2 police stations and 2 Community Information Center and other (voluntary fire brigade office, health center, welfare center, center for communal services) were provided with broadband Internet access;

  • Radio network was built in 11 locations to enable the inhabitants, private users get connected to the Internet;

  • 19 free public Internet access points were created in 12 locations.

Local governments develop e-councils which improve the efficiency of their activities, basing on the infrastructure which has been built.

Information systems built in 6 communities are based on equipment donated by Cisco Systems.
Systems were integrated by ComputerLand.
